Good day at the auctions

I went to the Ledbury bike auctions on Saturday and found some bargains and some parts I really needed. The only WD stuff was some Matchless forks and parts and some M20 engines and parts but I wouldn't know the year of it. I bought one and a half early Norton Model 18 engines in bits to help me with some missing parts on my rebuild. It was actually listed as a Triumph engine Good for me as any other people looking for Norton stuff wouldn't look at it and I didn't pay much for it. I also bought 8 incomplete Triumph sprung hubs with brake plates and a box of internals, but the one thing I was pleased about was a LOT for an old Greaves fairing and a box of spanners. I don't want the fairing but I love the spanners

Re: Good day at the auctions

These spanners are very nice but it will take quite a lot of money to complete the set.

So far I have managed to NOT start to collect them (yet).

Re: Good day at the auctions

I'm like Henk...I have a few BSA related items..but sometimes I sell or give something away to make sure it doesn't get out of hand...

Likewise with militaria...it's a constant threat I try to avoid.. ...

One very expensive hobby is enough for me...though I did buy a couple of nice WW1 items at the last auction I went to... ...Ian

In the book Kalle has posted it shows the BSA Whitworth set which is 5 spanners. Luckily the first 5 I've got, so the set is complete and no need to look for any more
