Hi all,

I am not sure if the headline sounds correct,
But I have a nice 1940 frame,
(WM20102991 which makes it only 35 bikes away from Wilfred kelting's, [NL] motor
and 90 bikes away from Franz Jones's frame)
It also has another number stamped on it: 5TA1090, (last 2 digits not clear)
But the second No. does nor appear to be factory made, judging by quality.

Anyway, it has both "Ears" for the rear stand, but the holes are oval.
Can anyone tell me what should be the correct diameter of it?

Also, does anyone make the screws for it, or maybe it is even better
To use a regular screw with a short busing where the bolt passes in the frame?
That way it would also act as a bearing and protect the chassis holes..

Hi, the holes should be 7/16", a lot of people compensate for the wear by drilling them and putting 1/2" holes in them, but this means that you can't use the correct bolts, if they aren't too badly worn you can fill them with manganese bronze (a brazing job) and then re drill them, if they show any signs of stretching of the metal on the hole I'd cut them out carefully with a grinder and dremel and machine up a new boss and mig weld them in. They weld ok as they are made of cast steel not iron.
