bit off topic but nice

Look what I found from the friends shed during cleaning. Lot of nice pictures and information about drills, reamers, cutters, spanners, taps and dies etc, etc. 18 different catalogues from 1934-36 bound together.

Re: bit off topic but nice

Kalle, scans of the forged spanner pages would be interesting in that they could relate to the motorcycle tool kits.

Re: bit off topic but nice

Hi Kalle

I would like to see a "cam action vice" and some hacksaw blades please.

Re: bit off topic but nice

I think these tools are made by bsa for general use not only for bsa motorcycles/cars

Re: bit off topic but nice

Yes, these are general tools for workshop/industry. I will scan some as soon as possible.

Re: bit off topic but nice

Kalle, I would love to see any information on 4-jaw chucks. Happy to contribute to any costs involved as well.
I have this BSA 10-inch 4-jaw that came with a WW2 vintage lathe.

Re: bit off topic but nice

No costs, I've had a lot of help from the forum for free, it's time to pay back. You have to wait a bit though.

Re: bit off topic but nice

Nice chuck Ray..!!...and the good thing about a 4 jaw is they don't wear out as fast as the 3 jaw chucks do...Ian

BSA Tools

Here are some BSA tools, not sure how you determine when they were manufactured.

Re: BSA Tools

I have a new favourite spanner, I wonder who or what "DES 1" was?
