WM20 1942 wiring problem

I am nearing completion of an a Restoration project, I need some advice on how to wire up the voltage regulator. It only has two terminals at the base of the coil, yet I have 4 wires on the loom marked "voltage regulator ? There is a red earth, green and yellow wires from the generator and a brown and white striped wire from the ammeter. What goes where? Any assistance appreciated.

F and D are the ones on the dynamo

non of your wiring colours are original, so there's no point in looking for adiagram like that

Voltage reg with 2 terminals?? Thats not right. Should have four marked F A D E
Stands for Field, Ammeter, Dynamo and Earth.
