Seems I can't edit my post so thought I'd add: If there are any WD B40 owners in the Huddersfield/West Yorkshire area, who wouldn't mind getting in touch, it would be good have a chat.

I think there is now an owners club for these models...Worth a Google search...

I had one myself for a few years...It was a better bike after I raised the gearing and I changed the front 20" rim for a 21" size...

In those days it was hard to get 20" tyres...

I have been looking (and Googling) to see if there was an WD B40 owners club, but not found anything yet, other than Lee Mitchells's excellent website. Maybe it's time to start one, or maybe some kind of Register? :)]
