Tail light bulb led

I was looking for a tail light bulb led.
The rear light, brake light and also the rear plate light.
The led give more light and use less volt.

Where can I buy it?

Re: Tail light bulb led

I don't know where might sell a 'slot in' unit, but if you can handle some small soldering you can buy 10mm LEDs over the counter/online at Maplins. I haven't checked, but I'd be surprised if you can't get them reasonable off ebay. White ones inside the existing bike rear light unit should give you the combination you desire?

Re: Tail light bulb led

Go to Classicdynamo and regulator conversions site, good to deal with and will answer all your questions and needs.

Re: Tail light bulb led

I bought a complete set of LED bulbs for my Indian Special from:-

http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/a-bit-about-led-bulbs.php

Including a direct replacement stop/tail bulb.

This bike is coil ignition and therefore relies on a battery and with these bulbs fitted, the ammeter barely moves to discharge with all lights on. Ron

Try Paul Goff, a regular trader at jumbles and shows as well as on-line, good service and fair prices.

Re: Tail light bulb led

I have single filament LED bulbs with the correct fitting. They can be used as a taillight and brake light by using a resistor in the taillight wire. This has been on the forum before and seems to work very well without modifications to the tail light. The LED bulbs I have give lots of light and generate hardly heath which keeps the tail light lens in good shape.

These LED buls are 5 euro each, you can find theme on this page of the website.

Re: Tail light bulb led

See ron Piers supplier.

Excellent unit, with/without number plate light, with/without brake light.

had one for last couple of years, good reliablity, low, low, power consumption.

Also tank panel bulbs and even headlight bulbs - my 30w generator is marginal, to say the least with a tungsten 21w h/light bulb - with a 45/55w LED equivelent (dipping) i havnt even bothered to refit charging cicuit, just use a pack of NiCads as a constant loss system - 16 hours use, even in winter temperatures.

Sod all light from the H/light but at least cars/trucks see you coming.

These are the guys,

Third section down on left,
I have one of these and it is really good, nice chap to deal with too.
Yes I know its not 1944' but neither was the white van man who punched me off a CBR1000 either, SMIDSY, so I would rather be seen when I brake.

Re: Tail light bulb led

the email address with norbsao02 in it is Paul Gough mentioned earlier in the thread,he does a light board which fits inside the standard rearlight with multiple leds, this is to allow for the fact that leds only cast light in a straight out direction rather than giving all round illumination making them practically invisible from the side however with multiple leds mounted around the board at varying angles the light spread is much better allowing number plate illumination as well as a rear light and brakelight
