Matchless G3L 350 WD Desert Paint Colour and Speedo Drive

Hi

I'm currently restoring a 1940's Matchless G3L Ex WD

I'm restoring it to Desert Spec as my Dad rode one in Egypt at the end of the war

So I'd like help in sourcing the correct Desert Sand Colour Ral Number or other colour code I can give to my friend whos painting it for me.

Also

I had a very strange issue with speedo not working, the speedo drive is the wrong one it rotates the wrong way LOL.

So has any one a Speedo Drive for the 350 I can buy or tell me correct ratio / smiths number so I can trace one.

Are you sure it goes the wrong way? If so I maybe able to swap you for the right one. I'll have a look today in my parts. The one you have must be for a C11.

Yup, if I rotate the rear wheel in a forward direction the cable at head end rotates anticlockwise, really confused me, a friend rebuilt n tested the speedo just thought I'd check cable before putting speedo on and penny dropped ahhh that's why it don't work.
