Does anyone have experience of sending a buff logbook to the DVLA in order to retain an original number and successfully getting it back from them? Is there an alternative? Thanks John

Re: DVLA

Hi John...A friend of mine has just got a number from a buff log book...However, he had to have a VMCC dating certificate, VMCC vehicle inspection etc. etc. to get it...

I would suggest you contact the DVLA to find out exactly what is required...

At least it is still possible though...Ian

Re: DVLA

Hi, John I sent off my old type V5 for my 57 Thunderbird and it was returned in same condition as sent IE; no horibble stampings on it. I did add a note that I would like it returned though just in case.. Dave

Re: DVLA

contact local motorcycle club marque officer or vmcc dating officer, who will issue you with relevant forms to reclaim the number, if you just send off buff logbook it will probably disappear forever and you will have lost the original documentation.
