I've just heard they are making a new Dad's Army film...Personally I don't think you can remake such an iconic film...or rather you can't recreate the iconic cast...

I'm still having therapy to get over sitting through half of Steve Martins amateurish and embarrassing portrayal of the great Peter Sellers 'Inspector Cluseau' character...

Best not to think about the Italian Job remake as either....

I agree with you Ian, something's should be left alone, the cast of Dad's Army will never be replaced or bettered,

Dad's Army was an absolute classic, with it's corny story lines. It was the characters that made it all of them, it cannot be matched in anyway. I still watch them now on a Saturday night on BBC2, seen them all before but great fun.
