Yes its our old mate from Eygpt, Mahommed. I still havent worked out his angle but to give him his due he does answer my very low offers prompt and politely.

Re: Original paint and rust, what a bargain

['Original paint and rust, what a bargain']...

Surely you mean 'patina' Henk?...No need to repaint, just fit 'as is' for maximum authenticity... ...Ian

Re: Original paint and rust, what a bargain

Shit, yes of course that's called patina and it would fit my bike perfectly and increase the value considerably.

Re: Original paint and rust, what a bargain

Henk, I think that you've got the same shade of green as the oil tank already, so you'd need to repaint it or it will look as if it belongs there !

Re: Original paint and rust, what a bargain

He's on planet earth no problem.

If you look at his feedback he's been selling stuff Ok; note that its mostly marked best offer accepted, but it does not say what the offer was.

I recently offered him 25 quid for something he listed at 200, I got nice quick and polite response, to decline it.

I didnt particularly wan the item, a new G3 rear sprocket, but was interested in how he'd respond.
I reckon it was worth around 50 quid if I really wanted it.

I suspect the guy likes to haggle, its the old bazaar DNA I reckon, and I'd have bought it for a decent price.
So I'd say, as he is selling the stuff, haggle.
