Center Stand Frame Stops

The previous owner of my WD20 deemed it necessary to trim the center stand stop tabs on the rear section of my frame. The center stand now rolls way too far under the bike and it also tilts to one side as they made the two cuts a little different.

I did a search for blueprints, but could find any printable ones to take a measurement off of.

Does anyone have a template or an actual size outline of the rear section of the frame that I could use to weld on new tabs? I think Ian aka Frank had to do this as well. Ideally if someone has their frame torn apart and wouldn't mind tracing the outline of the tail piece section of the bike that would be excellent. An outline traced out and scanned would be ideal.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Here is a photo of the L/H side of a NOS frame:

As near as I could measure it with paper and school protractor - this would be the critical angle:

An this is the R/H side:

Let me know if you want specific masurements.

Re: Center Stand Frame Stops

Thanks for the pictures Ray.. I was a little busy to get on to it yesterday, so I hope this is enough information for you gentlemen?

Re: Center Stand Frame Stops

Interesting...As the measurements are taken off a NOS frame we now have a figure for the correct position of the stand...24 degrees off vertical..

That is assuming the slots in the stand lug are parallel to the axis of the stand leg, something I will now check...

This is more than I expected it to be, I thought it was nearer 15 degrees....Ian
