Does anybody know where I can get one of the spiked side stands?

Either follow these drawings or risk the 'quality items' supplied from the sub continent!!

There are two different models, the short one with full end disk for the pre-pannier bikes and the slightly longer with a piece removed from that disk for the bikes with pannier bags.

I'd be inclined to avoid the Indian ones...

The examples I have seen have a stand leg which is too large in diameter and consequently is a sod to get in and out of an original field stand clip...

Also the swivel joint is poorly made dimensionally and it's unlikely the main body of the joint is hardened as the originals were....Ian

I am also looking for the earlier side stand i.e. shorter version. I think I am going to have to modify an original long version, can someone verify the length for me.
