Hi there,
Thanks for the advice in regard to my search for a speedo drive gearbox and pinion. I was fortunate enough to find the parts in Egypt and they are now here and awaiting to be fitted.
I wonder if you can help me identify another missing item? On the right hand side fork girder, to the left and slightly lower of the damper knob there is bracket that has a hole in the middle. It looks as though there should be something fitted in the hole that then screws into a second bracket on the girder. Can anyone shed some light on what this is? Whatever it is, it is missing on my bike but the hole in the bracket and the girder fixing don’t seem to line up very well either. I’m not sure quite whats missing/wrong.
Thanks in advance!
Robert
Yes Ron! That's it!
Is there a grommet behind that bolt? The hole in my bracket looks much larger.
I'm not sure why but the hole in my bracket doesn't seem to line up with the bracket on the girde tube either.
The 3HW forks were supplied by Webb. Not the usual Triumph's own forks. They are almost identical (although not quite the same) as the Webb forks fitted to Velo's The earlier ones having a large wing not damper rather than the later type knurled knob the same as fitted to 3HW's. Ron
