Re: Ebay "Barn find"

Doesn't look like genuine NOS English hay. Could be an inferior foreign replica.

Re: Ebay "Barn find"

I like it...I guess he is giving form to what I have often thought about all the knackered so called 'barn finds' on e bay..a lot of bullshit.. ...

I wonder if he found any of that in there with the hay?... Ian

Re: Ebay "Barn find"

Despite what he says, many old farmers are much more accomplished at leaving old vehicles and bits of farm equipment lying around than they are at getting the crops in...probably something to do with EU subsidies.

It sounds like he had to climb over old Vincents and BSA's to find the hay

I can't believe people are bidding on it

Re: Ebay "Barn find"

Dave, if it's a barn-full, it's still cheap. Meadow hay is around £70 per ton but of course we don't know how big his barn is...

Let's hope that he doesn't turn out to be a man of straw or he'll get some negative rep when the winning bidder turns up at his gate with tractor and trailer !

Re: Ebay "Barn find"

Well he's got an easy out! As he says he'll only deal with bidders with over a 1,000,000 bidding history. All good humoured. Ron

Re: Ebay "Barn find"

If you read some of the questions and answers, he's asked how much straw is there and he says about an arm full
