Two Brief questions, first what thread is on the contact points (the adjustable one with the locknut)? Second where can I get a set with the correct thread? My spare made in England set are about the right size but are a different pitch. Thanks in advance.

Hi Pat...They are a BA thread...but I can't remember which one...

If you measure the outside diameter of an original you'll easily find it in a Zeus book or in a BA thread spec. chart on the internet....(under outside or major diameter)

One useful tip if the thread goes in the points block...

The points from the K2F twin cylinder mags have a larger thread so you can simply drill and tap oversize and fit one of those...The threaded section is longer than the Magdyno fixed point so it will also have to be cut to the appropriate length...Ian

Thanks Ian, 4BA seemed to be it, the points block is fine but the thread on the point under the lock nut is striped. I have used the one from my spare mag for now and may try a thick "washer" under the lock nut. Any ideas for a new set?
