Marcia Derrick (Classic Transfers) has written to me with the sad news that Robert (Bob) has lost his long battle with cancer and died last week.

I am sorry to hear that. It has been a pleasure to deal with them, going back over many years. A great relief to see that there will be some continuity. I won't have to immediately bulk-buy Norton transfers.

I'm away in deepest darkest Cornwall on my holiday and just got wifi in a pub. This is very sad news to read, I only met him once earlier this year and he showed me his setup and what he could do. Very interesting and glad I had the chance to meet him. Very sad to hear.

I would hope to think that anyone in the UK classic bike scene over the last 20-odd years or so has had the good fortune to deal with Bob and Marcia.......THE BEST classic transfer service around, nothing was ever too much trouble.......

An incredibly sad loss for such a knowledgeable chap....Marcia must be devastated but remains very dignified it seems.............early days but good to see that the business remains.........

My thoughts are with her atm........

Very sad news, wonderful folks to deal with over many years. As has been said before, the best in the business.

Fully support that statement. Tough to find folks with such willingness.
