If my WD M20 frame number is 110856 (1945) and the Correct C-Number on the Petrol tank is C5551556, Can anyone tell me what the correct Contract number is for my bike?

Can't help there but am sure someone will. So it wasn't a 43 or is that another? I was watching one on Ebay in CA and understood you have it. Looked fairly complete.

I make it, frame number 110856 is the 6039th bike from 12000, under contract S5209. Dec43-July45. Ron

YES. I purchased the M20 from Chris Hammond in Riverside California. This was a bike used as a prop in the film, Battle of Britain, being purchased by Spitfire Productions from the British Gov't. in 1968. The film was released in 1969, and I am the third owner since that time. Along with the bike, I received the original registration paperwork from Spitfire Productions; So, there is no guessing so far as Provenance... Thx. Mike
