I'm very seriously thinking about making a special trip to the UK to see those...I haven't told the missus yet though.

Rik they are due to fly at our famous Bournemouth Air Festival in a couple of weeks time. I can put you up for a night or two if you want. Nothing better than watching them from the cliff tops and being level with them. Ron

they are at Eastbourne and doing Herne Bay until Sunday staying over night at Biggin Hill

Come to Lincolnshire, where they are based, and see for free them as they practice for airshows and generally tear about in the big skies of Bomber County!

Half of them (Lanc, & Spit) flew south yesterday across the Thames and over me, the rubble of Merlins drew my attention! A little later a pair of Tiger Moths flew North. I must live beneath a vintage flight path!

I'm hoping to get to Eastbourne on Sunday to se the lancasters,, there flying at 13;00, after the red arrows. And 15;05 on Saturday. I remember my dad taking us to west malling air show in Kent, love the folcon bomber and its noise letting off car alarms. Shame the old RAF air fields no longer there, it's been a housing estate for a few years now.

The Red Arrows and BBNF are on the list for a display at Sywell airfield which is where I shall be, after a visit to the Glen Miller museum at Tinwood airfield, which is where he took of from on his fatefull flight.

Not happy I didant get to se both of the lancasters, canceled due to the winds, got to se some other nice planes though, nice original 1944 mustang and the lovely spitfire. Shame about the weather..

Just had the two Lancs and the Vulcan go right over my house! What a glorious sight and a wonderful, window rattling, ground shaking racket!!

That Vulcan is very impressive!....Back when they were operational they were nicknamed 'the hangar queens' due to the high level of maintenance needed to keep them in the air....Ian

Yesterday afternoon, my Father and I sat on the seafront at Exmouth eating fish and chip and watching Dawlish Air display across the bay, the two Lancaster's flew right over us twice. Rob

Thanks Rob! even on film it is great, must be some experience to see and hear them 'live'. Nice skies also.

Used to live near RAF Leconfield and a Vulcan came over rattling the windows.

Mind you the Lightnings did the same, but a quicker rattle.

Also, many years ago (at least 20) working near Driffield, I used to see A10's. Are these planes really the same ones in operation now?
