I placed a commission bid on a pair of boots at a local auction at the weekend..only found out today that I was successful. Picture was a bit crap but I could see that they were 3 buckle WD boots. Picked them up this evening and pleased to say they are pretty mint, un-issued / not even worn.
Dated 1943, Hawkins Ltd, size 8L.
Markings on the leather all over inside.
Has the foot arch plate on the right foot. This is Marked F H w 2 1/2 which I guess is the size of the plate 2.5 inches (which is what it measures.
