Here are some photograph's i was able to view at the State Library today, the "non" bike shot is of a Tank Trainer!
All of the photo's apart from the "flying norton" are from the British Expeditionary Force preparing for war collection !

Brilliant ! With a chromed exhaust on the drive side, it pretty well has to be a civilian impressed model - if it's British, either a twin-port or a Triumph.

Poor bloke. All his mates are hoping they can make a better exit from the landing craft. Chrome wheel rims also. At first I thought it might be an AJS twin port. But the front brake is on the wrong side. Maybe a Speedtwin with the chrome tank panels painted over? It's so frustrating not being able to look round corners in these pictures. Ron

That is brilliant to see a follow-on picture of the "flying Norton". I thought it was going to be the Norton on it's side, but it looks like his mate didn't make such a graceful exit
