Originally from good old Kent I've never been to Romney marsh (hamstreet) bike auto jumble, is it worth going for possible pre 50s bike parts, I can just imagine there being today's plastic bike parts..

Got to agree, but then, I've got a stall there! Our (I share it with Barry, sometimes Paul, sometimes Anya, Janneanne, and Alison, our wives)stall is called Old Junk Motorcycles. Our aim is to keep old bikes on the road.

I'm not going to do an advert, because that's not what this site is about. I will say however, is that we only do it for fun, we don't do ebay, and we TRY and sell stuff at a reasonable price to people who actually want it for their own bike, and not to sell it on (usually via ebay!).

Our original aim, was to sell off the stuff we'd accumulated over the years, while trying to keep our bikes on the road. Fortunately, we're still at it!

The thing is with me il drive any where in my trust blue transit van, especially if its some thing I want, not so bad going to Kent as I ill visit my mum and dad live near tunbridge wells, ill pop round for a nice cuppa. I might pay a visit to ham street as you never know what's there.

John and I met up not a lot of wd stuff,found a NOS bsa wm20 (same chap as last year) clutch centre and a nice Wesco oil can, a few nice spanners, and other bits and bobs , and completely forgot I was looking for a push pull petrol tap for the G 3, andrew

Lovely day. We did quite well, but more importantly, I think everyone else (visitors)had a good time.

My "0ppo" Barry's Dad, had a bike up for sale, a Raleigh frame, with a bolt-on engine, a Bernini I think. Very much like a Cyclemaster, but with the engine on the front wheel. Asking price was £700, running well, with a Reg doc, tax disc (exempt) and all the associated paperwork. It went for £500 in the end, and he was very pleased (not surprised, as I don't think he paid much for it, I think it was in a skip originally, as a wreck).

I was on the point of saying to Barry that I needed to go through our box of miscellaneous choke/advance & retard/clutch/brake etc levers, and sort out the un-chromed examples, just in case one of this forum dropped by, when a passing punter dived in, came out with a handful of various possibly ex-WD bits, and I had to sell them to him at our standard price (cheap!). I think they'll be on ebay soon! I would have preferred to see them go to a real restorer, for a good price.

A few Wellbike bits in evidence, an ex-WD BSA B40, Running, taxed & tested. An M21 bottom end, 2 M20 heads, some Matchless WD bits & bobs, loads of spanners, some webbing sets, I could go on.

Still, we had the usual greasy cheeseburgers, cups of tea in foam cups, and we even got home before the rain!
