Rik sent me this picture of Australian troops (6th Div ?) in the Middle East !
I've done a search on the web for this pic and more but cant find anything !

There is something similar on the AWM site (but low-res). This decent copy is on-line with the State Library of Victoria but I can't make hot links work.

Try going to the SLV site and entering the search term 'Provost lineup in the MidEast'....

It does indeed seem to be 6 Div. Provost.

If you're close to Melbourne and can visit the library, they seem to have lots of interesting collections that are not on line which they have inherited from the Melbourne Argus; including British Army motorcycle images...I'd be fascinated to learn what's actually there.

I'm close to the SLV and i have holidays coming up so will go and check out the collection and report back on my findings
