Hi All,
WM20 front left hand side speedo drive, is anyone reproducing them in good quality?
Also how do you know it`s the right one, what direction do they turn looking from the top of the drive? clockwise?

Hi Dave,Yes clockwise ,same direction as the speedo head you are fitting.I had to ask at Stafford last April when I found a box full,twice I went through the box.
My hands were covered in thick grease,and nothing to clean them,and as far from the washroom as could be.Excitement over I found a head steady as a consolation prize,always next time

No one makes them to my knowledge. It's as Rick says, you have to keep picking them up at jumbles and turn them. Clockwise at the drive dogs and clockwise at the cable end. Most will be the wrong rotation I'm afraid. Post war Flying Flea's had the same thing and you can bore the spindle hole bigger if you find one.

I've asked a couple of those replica sellers to look into producing some reverse drive ones and they said they would look into it but alas no replies. Remember C11's use the same thing as well.

Fairly sure thta like the latter ones you can disassemble it and swap the blanking plug and drive socket thus reversing the rotation

You would have to replace both of the spiral gears, which would mean, looking for a donor........Back to square one
