1944 ariel wng paint finish

i have just had my wng painted in matt green two pack paint. on collection, i find that the finish has come out a sort of satin.i am working from the official iwm photo and the finish definately looks matt to me.can anyone enlighten me as to the correct paint, and can two pack paint be oversprayed? regards...andy

You can overspray with a clear matt lacquer...That will give you a consistent finish (the paints can vary) and adds another layer of protection against the latest petrols and other damage...Ian

My 2 pack finish was the same so I adjusted the spray gun to dusted the paint over to leave a matt finish, which has worked very well and I didn't have to buy any more paint.

Yes, that is the way to do it, use half or a third of the hardener normally required, and use more thinners on the last coat, and set spraygun pressure a bit higher, then just dust it, as Horror says, then you"ll get a nice matt finish with 2 pack paint.

Alternatively, sweep the workshop before the paint is completely dry. Gives a wonderful mat finish every time!
