Get difficulties to open the top float chamber. There is hex nut shape to open but unfortunately it is gone of shape so difficult to open with wrench. Any idea to open with an other way?
Since the top is already damaged, a few additional marks on it won't make much difference, but it seems to me the big issue with this operation is to avoid damage to the float chamber body while trying to remove the top.
We assume you have removed the small jamb screw on the edge of the float chamber top which is used to secure the top to the chamber body.
As the hex on the top is already damaged, I suggest you take entire float chamber off the carburetor so as not to damage the chamber body as well while twisting on the chamber top.
You are dealing with easily-distorted and brittle materials, so care in handing is critical to avoid further damage. Assuming the top is stuck due to varnish and not due to thread damage or distortion, the chamber can be very carefully secured in a vise using something to pad it, such as a piece of large diameter rubber hose, and the (dry, empty) chamber can then be carefully heated with a small torch around the top area of the chamber while you attempt to twist the float chamber top off
As mentioned, channel lock pliers are an option, but I would also suggest the use of a small pipe wrench.
Thanks for your advises (both of you). Before I open the top I was trying to do some other option as well. Finally I tried to clean the needle seat with carb cleaner (aerosol)from the bottom of the chamber and the problem is solve. One day It may need to open to replace the needle and I can follow your advise.
