As I'm sat on the ferry, returning from Normandy, I thought I'd share some pics and info while I still have some French 3G.

300 miles on my M20, 2 broken cables (valve lifter & clutch), a loose switch, clamp & headlight and we made it to St Mare Eglise, Longues Battery, Arromanche on D Day at 5.45am, Pegasus Bridge, Ranville, St Aubin and, of course, the Guiness Record attempt on Friday eve. 200+ bikes I believe and big thanks and congrats to Ron Pier & Canvas Grip for making it possible. It was one hell of a sight!

It was great to meet so many 'forum faces' and this is just a quick thanks to all of the Normandy DR's for contributing to my first D Day in Normandy. I've got lots more pics to share over the next day or so and will do so when I'm back at home.

Assuming this works (never a completely good idea) here are some photos from the event I've posted online.

The first 'album' is of bikes (and vehicles) from the campsite taken early on in the week. I have others on another camera I will add as time goes on and I get the chance. There is no hierarchy to the photos, I just tried to get a shot of everything on site. Sorry if I missed any.

You have to nip down to Vimoutiers, which is east of Falaise. The tank is situated on the road heading east out of the town. It was abandoned and disabled by the crew and laid neglected for quite a while. If you are going that way to see it then the memorial/museum of 'the corridor of death' at Hill 262, Mont Ormel,is well worth a visit.
