I was thinking of buying a new carb from amal and I wanted to check what the correct type is and If anyone has had any experience of these newly manufactured carbs?

I bought one for my M20 when they first went back into production...I bolted it on, set it up and basically have never had any problems since.. That's around 10-12 years of use so far...

My only criticism is that the finish on the plated parts is incorrect as supplied..I got them all refinished before fitting...(they should be satin/dull chrome.)

I'd happily buy another if required...Ian

Hi Glenn,

The correct type is 276C/1B. (1"/1")

If I remember correctly,
The Main jet is 170,
The Needle jet 106,
And the needle in the 2nd grove.

If you chose your bike from the site,
It would get you to the correct configuration.

I bought one some 7 years ago and it is working great!
