Re: NOS girders. ebay

Yes, sellers location is "Leamington Spa" but it says shipped from outside UK & later on it says shipping is from Egypt. having said that there is still lots of Genuine NOS parts in Egypt & these look mid 1930's blue star type rather than the common faked M20 type all over ebay.
So its likely they are what it says....
but that doesn't mean the tubes aren't rotting from within.

Re: NOS girders. ebay

Tks for that bit of info. My experience with Egypt is that no rot to be found. Still a ton of money for what it is.

Re: NOS girders. ebay

I enjoyed a visit to the backstreet bike "shops" of Cairo & as you say not serious rot problems but everywhere that sand can get .. it gets. I've had to clean alot of 30's BSA parts of Egyptian grime .. i mean patina.
My "rot" comment really was only because NOS never fitted doesn't guarantee the forks weren't used as plumbing at some stage : D

Re: NOS girders. ebay

I can vouch for the seller. I bought a NOS float for an Indian Linkert carb from him just last week. It arrived quite quickly with free post, as are all his items. Ron

Re: NOS girders. ebay

Just joking I find Egyptians are super people to deal with. I also discovered fairly early on that when bartering they tend to start at about 5 times what they actually want & the most recent fork blades i saw for sale of that exact type was at Newark jumble for £200.
