We talked about one of these recently on the forum. The seller said it was a motorcycle box for Top Secret messages and was locked at one end of the run and could only be opened by the officer at the other end. The general view was that this was complete bo**ocks!

Well as I said mine is marked AM and I don't think the RAF had Bren Carriers. They are only designed to take a small padlock which is hardly the best security system for top secret documents.
What's wrong with a simple easy to carry box for a REME mechanic to bung a few tools into when called out on a breakdown. Ron
