Hello,

Attached is a picture of the headlight that came with my newly aquired '43 G3L, which I believe is for a James ML. I was told the headlight is NOS (it appears brand new).
Anyway, the hole where the ammeter should be is blanked off at the top and has a resistor on the underside of it.
I would rather have an ammeter in that hole, am I right in assuming that this resistor can this be removed and replaced with an ammeter? Nothing is wired up on the bike yet.

You are quite correct. You also have an ML light switch, which is different to the normal switch. I am looking for that type of switch and cover for an ML, I'll happily trade the correct parts and some cash for them. Perhaps you could email me?

Mick is quite right. The L&H on the switch are the wrong way round and quite unique to an ML. I think a deal with Mick for the correct parts will be advantages to you both. Here is my NOS ML headlamp that came with some stencil markings. Ron
