Hello All, The speedo drive in my WDG3L has some problem. The hole through which the spindle goes has become a lot wider and bigger. Is there any method that I can use to weld this or a special washer that might solve the problem. Please help me with this.

John you won't be able to weld that monkey metal. But a good engineer shop should be able to bore the hole out round to a bigger size and make a small ring insert. On the other hand these units are always easy to find at jumbles. Ron

Thanks a ton Ron, the problem is the hole is exactly the size of a spacer. So it comes out easily through the spindle spacer :).

I have a spare one that although the hole is slightly enlarged will do the job £30 plus postage if you want it,

John the M20 speedo drives are always hard to find because of the rotation. But you usually see the Matchless type everywhere. Kempton jumble this Sat if you're near enough in the UK. Ron
