On taking my gearbox outer cover off someone has incorrectly seated the bearing and subsequently ground down the outer cover on the inside to allow the cover to fit. The outer casing that carries the clutch push rod arm has a raised section inside that I presume supports the inner bearing mounted on the inner cover of the gearbox. Mine has been ground down, should this part of the casing be level with the outer flange face or is it recessed slightly, if so to what depth? I can send a photo of what mine is like if that helps someone to advise.
Thanks any help appreciated.
