On an M20 frame I recently acquired, it has a mounting point below the seat mount position, this for the short side stand I believe.

When was this lug removed or which contract was the first to feature the later long side stand

Hi John, Can't help you with exact dates but there was a period in 1942 when the long stand was fitted and the frame still had the lug for the short stand.

i believe that they were contemporary..as soon as panniers were fitted, the long stand was needed,

I've been trying to sort out the (Irish)KM20 numbers recently and hope to have a list of reg numbers to match frame numbers and factory despatch dates maybe.

Hi Chris, there's usually a military vehicle show on the Curragh racecourse in early summer.
