When inserting the clutch plates (leaving a friction plate and plain plate out), what is the sequence of putting them back in. I describe the plain plates as "outer metal tag" and "inner metal tag".

Hi Pat..Start with a fibre plate, next a steel plate with external tangs, then another fibre plate, then a steel plate with internal tangs..finally start the sequence again with a fibre plate..
After assembly (assuming you are leaving two plates out) you should be left with 1 fibre plate and 1 plate with external tangs as 'surplus'... and the last plate in the clutch should be a fibre one....Ian
