Hi . I believe there are two types of field stands for the wm20
a short type and long ! I do have the lug on my frame for the short stand
but on looking on the net at photographs it looks like the short stand would conflict with panniers is the case ???
i Know they early bikes only had a small rack on top of the rear mudguard ..

Hi Gary...You are correct. If you intend to have bags, carriers etc. you will need the long 'clamp on' field stand and the frame lug will become redundant.

This was the situation with many early bikes as a kit was supplied of the bag carrier assembly and associated parts and these were 'retro fitted' to the earlier bikes to bring them to the later spec....Ian
