these letters that are on the cam side of the cam cog are the same because they are a matched pair is this crucial or doesn't it matter

Hi Roger...If you are using standard M20/M21 or B31/B33 cams you can ignore those numbers...they are all identical. All you have to do is correctly line up the 'dots' and 'dashes' with the crankshaft pinion marks....Ian

thanks ian even though I had the original cams re profile for fast road but they were bored out of line re done free this B31 will still not start I can get it to fire twice the first time i kick it then nothing I did bid on a set of standard cams but got out bid keeping an eye on another set roger
