Ah Henk,
I think Sam will back me up that it is in fact in the United States of America! While Tim Horton's Coffee is a Canadian institution, they have been unable to get too far across the border to the US, too competitive with Dunkin Donuts locations. However, Maine is the most northeastern of the US geographically, and there are a few locations in that state. Mostly situated to capture the Canadians who dare to cross the border heading south.... since here in Canada we pretty much have a Timmie's on every street corner.
