Hi all, I'm looking to create a new eBook or maybe just an extended feature on the trials and tribulations and fun and games of BSA M20 & M21 ownership.
To that end, I'm looking for as many images as I can get from owners out there who'd like to contribute.
It will be a free feature (or eBook). I just want to keep some kind of record of the owners and their bikes. A kind of "time capsule" thing.
It doesn't have to be just military bikes. In fact, I'm equally interested in the later, post war civilian machines (teles/plungers, etc). Also, I'm looking for workshop pics or engine internal pics or whatever. Just one or two from each owner would do.
I've got a lot of images of my own WM20, but like I said, I want to keep a record of other people and how they enjoy their bike/bikes.
All I need to know about the bike/bikes is the name of the owner, the year of the bike and the model, the (rough) location of the owner/bike and what's going on in the image. For instance, replacing the clutch, or dismantling the forks.
I'm naturally looking for the best pics I can get, and I'll probably Photoshop them a little to improve and enhance.
Bikes in far flung places are especially welcome.
So, anyone want to contribute and make this a very comprehensive eBook or feature? I'll have to decide on the final format when I see what images I have, note. But I'm particularly interested in those workshop pictures, and it would be nice to see the owners if possible.
Please forward whatever you can to: dannydefazio@sumpmagazine.com or MrDannyDeFazio@aol.com
Ian, thanks for that. I could probably do the entire eBook or picture feature on you and your workshop, alone. But I'd like it to be a wider record detailing why people own their bikes, and what the bikes mean to them, etc. I'm really hoping for about 50 responses from around the world, but I'll take whatever I can get.
If I get some really good stuff, I might also make a YouTube video from it.
Thanks also to Pete Ingram who has sent some excellent images for my eBook or feature project.
I'm still looking for (many) more images from owners detailing or revealing the fun of BSA M20 ownership. That means riding pics, workshop pics, buying pics, even selling pics.
I'm interested in the tools, the riding gear, the NOS parts, and everything else connected with M20s.
So please send me the best images you have.
And Ian, would particularly like something (larger) from your stable/workshop.
I have images so far from:
Ian
Henk
Ron Pier
Pete Ingram
And myself
I'm looking for at least 20 owners, and ideally around 50 from all over the world.
But owners of other military bikes are welcome to send something too. Maybe I can expand the scope of the feature (or run two features/eBooks side by side). But I focussed on M20s because that's what I ride. Pete, for instance, sent some excellent Matchless images that deserve to be used somewhere.
