I need to repair/replace the attachment bracket on the front stand. The manual refers to an "attachment pin" but from studying photos it seems as though it should/could be a slotted/drilled plate welded onto the stand.
A close up photo would be greatly appreciated together with dimensions.
"Pin" is Bracebridge Street dialect for a screw or bolt. Do you mean the rear fixing on the mudguard or the side pivots ? No problem to photograph / measure, whatever.
The existing mudguard has a hole in it on the rear where the previous owner had "lashed" together a bracket of sorts and on the stand itself there is some welding that indicates that a slotted bracket or similar was fixed.
So what I need are details of both the mudguard and the stand.
Thanks
Ian
Ian, the stand is held up at the rear by a 5/16" shouldered stud and dome nut. The French seller who used to be at the big jumbles, Alain Touchet had a box of them but apparently his stock is all now with British Motorcycles, Austria. It might be worth asking him.
If you're thinking of making them then I'm afraid that dimensions and a sketch will have to wait until tomorrow.
