watching a world at war program on TV there was a solo motorcycles being pushed through some deep water up to the bottom of the tank said it was in Italy I think it was an M20 the C number was 4695053 it took some time in slow motion to get it if it is and M20 the number comes as contract number C 12586 which it say is a combination built model

Although there is a gap in the census numbers in 'Orchard & Madden', the missing numbers don't apply to C12586 which may well have been a non-army Ministry of Supply contract.

C4695053 was allocated to Ariel W/NG contract C11103 so well done for spotting it. Plenty of Ariels went to Italy so it's quite likely to be one of those.
