When I was serving with 65 coy RASC at Ashford in Kent in the early sixties, we had the div sign on vehicles, it was a viking ship in a shield mainly blue background, as I recall, the other side was the normal RASC blue & yellow diagonal in a square. Now does anyone have any photo's or illustrations of the div sign in question, Shorncliffe was the Southern command area.
John, had a quick look, after the war the 65th coy. RASC was attached to the 24th Inf Brigade, and that had a red sort of wing on a blue shield, maybe that's what you mean?
