I bought this at Shepton Mallet autojumble yesterday, I don't think I have ever seen a bronze sidecar fitting before and even better it appears to be the correct bottom rear fitting for the wartime BSA M20 Swallow combination.

Bronze or gunmetal?
When we were looking into cats parts for our Welbike project, we eventually opted for cast steel.
Bronze was supposedly weaker than a decent gunmetal? Gunmetal was described as a bronze/aluminium mixture.
