Hi all.

I have just received my James ml project for the winter but I am fairly new to the ml.

Can anyone tell me do all military ml's have the frame number stamped on the bottom of the head stock? Was this position also adopted on the civvy ml's or did the position change?

Any help you could give me would be great.

Hi, they were all stamped there the stamping was usually very lightly done. The engine number did move, on the WD ones it was on the top of the primary case and on the civvy ones it was on the kickstart cover

We're there any frame details peculiar to the military ml I should also look out for? I am aware of the folding foot pegs for instants.
