Chris, if you are building a Deluxe model, then the front mudguard should have a special moulded channel to hold the number plate. if you haven't got this channel, then in my opinion it's pointless to fit the number plate. I have a feeling that someone was making these channels which need to be spot welded on, in which case I'm sure Henk or someone can give you some fixing measurements. Here is the same thing on my 1939 KC10. Ron

Hi Chris,

From the front of the mudguard support on the fork to the beginning of the rails which holds the numberplateholder is 47 mm on mine.

Some more checkmates : From the front of the mudguard to the front of the rails is 83 mm and the total length of the rails 305 mm.

Measured on an original one which had the rails still fitted (thanks J'oB)
