Found this on ebay: 261262295158 Has anyone seen one of these in person? Being that it's from India rings all the alarm bells for sure. It has all the attachment points for knee pads and a winged "M", but looks more like a G3L tank. Perhaps the Matchless experts could clarify what exactly this is, and even if it belongs on a motorbike.
By the way, I am looking for a tank for a 1941 G3WO.
Well its not G3, the filler cap mount is the push and turn type. Its not G3L as it has holes for knee rubbers(though one was reintroduced each side for air filter mounting) so it must be a copy of a post war tank. The G3 tank should also have three threaded bosses in the cut out for the saddle where the rain deflector is fitted.
