Re: It's not just 'military' prices getting alarming...
Oddly enough, he clearly states UK only cash on collection, If I sold that tank at that price, I'd be glad to ship it to the moon if the buyer pays!
But then again it's a moot point- there are tons of those tanks around on this side of the pond, and dirt cheap too. We are , afterall , where the British exported it all to in the first place!
Re: It's not just 'military' prices getting alarming...
It doesn't look like this tank has had a new paint job, judging buy the pictures of the underside. But if you had one re-painted by a professional with two tone paint and pin stripes..........Then £1000 might not seem so outrageous? DAMHIK!!
I haven't got a clue about the seller or his tank, but I guess it depends how rare it is? I think his customer care attitude of calling a potential buyer a "tight arse" might mean he keeps it at this stage? Ron

The Q's and A's indicate this bloke doesn't accept criticism too readily....45 mins to go and no bids yet.... ..
Spooky that 'Graham' who thought the price was very fair made the same grammatical error as the seller and used 'i' instead of 'I' when explaining what he thought.....Ian
Re: It's not just 'military' prices getting alarming...
I know that the people on the Q&A weren't always nice,
But al least they talked about the price,
and did not get personal.
On the other hand, with replies such as "Hang your wife"
Or "Stick your head in the oven",
I am pretty sure that eBay would have expel this seller,
If they new.
I think that someone (May be the m20ontos guy, whoever he is)
Should point it out to eBay.
Re: It's not just 'military' prices getting alarming...
This sellers attitude is becoming more and more obvious at autojumbles where a growing number of types are taking the attitude of "I don't know what it is or what it fits its 50 quid mate" applied to any lump of scrap that looks worth 5p or more.
Theres always 2 or 3 like that at the coming Netley do.

Gentleman Jim is actually ok and quite amenable I've had some good deals from him, but I'm from oop north, so maybe he's anti south where the streets are paved with gold! Or so I'm told.

My Fathers was a Yorkshireman and for some time we lived in Kieghley and Clitheroe, but I also had a spell in Wales and Northampton...I was actually born in Coventry, but have lived most of my adult life in the West country....
The North, Wales, The Midlands, The South (West)...I've got a fair bit of it covered and don't really think about any 'divides'....
Well perhaps Scotland....They don't like us much for sure, but I'll make a final decision on that once they've voted.. ...Ian
