missing gearbox retaining washer, is it a big deal?
Hi,
Overhauling the gearbox since I was leaking oil from the main shaft. Upon inspection I see that I am missing the min shaft retaining washer near the kickstart end (part #24-4236). Is it a big deal? If so and I need to manufacture one, does anyone know the thickness

Hi Jeff,
Check this on this site:
http://www.wdbsa.nl/BSA%20M%20type%20gearbox.htm
24-4236 oil retaining washer small, (mainshaft, goes inside bearing recess of inner cover, before bearing is installed, 0.754” ID x 1.600” OD x 0.040” thick. Dimensions are fairly critical as it rotates in a recess behind bearing.)
