Questions? Looking for parts? Parts for sale? or just for a chat,
The WD Motorcycle forum
Most are not easy to find but if you do want them here a list of what you need and where to use them.
I have most myself but I am missing the 24-8944 and to be honest I have no idea where these should go.

Is anyone capable in making a few quality repro sets?
I think there will be some takers for such sets. Including me.
Cheers,
Leon

I looked into this some years ago, for the Nortons, some clips are the same as BSA, but in low volumes it's way too expensive to have them made, was quoted 30 euro's a piece, with a minimum of 50.
Maybe someone else knows a spring manufacturer that is a lot cheaper?
Cheers,
Lex

I have a few companies that I work with that are more than capable of making these, but to set the machines it not worth doing less than one thousand. Remember I had a batch of field stand clips made. Once the clips are made the demand will drop to zero.

Yes, exactly, and there are many different ones too!
Had a spring manufacturer in Slovakia, but it took them almost a year to make some taillamp springs, 3 types, and still was very expensive.
I'm just buying every original I see now, I do have one of the small ones Henk mentioned, can give sizes if needed.

Lex

Gents,
I have been researching the cable clamps for the WD Norton's as they are not described in any Norton document.
They are different from the ones on BSA in my opinion (based on given pictures in previous post), in contrast to what Lex stated.
On my website I added a pdf file showing form and dimensions as well as positions used on a WD Norton but likely also used on civvy Nortons.
See https://www.wdnorton.nl/Electrical_equipment_page/Wiring%20harnass%20cable%20clamps%20iss%202.pdf
I also explain on what info I base my results.
Anybody with more useful information is requested to react.
Cheers,
Rob

Well, at least two are the same for sure, the one for the speedo cable and the taillamp wire clips on the rear mudguard

I've bought the small tail lamp wire clips that fit on the mudguard #65-9071 from Drags for about a quid each. But I see Mark Cook also has them. They're stainless and I just paint them black. Ron

Thanks Ron,
I never knew I had them! Not many left now, but I could get some plated zinc and black.

Hello Ron,
That should indeed be the the correct link.
If you are able to download the document than it works as expected.

Henk
In the 31 catalogue 24-8944 is described as cable clamp( when instrument panel is not fitted).
I have tried to get various Bsa clips made however the cost was prohibiting, also take note that some have a U shaped retainer at the bottom.

I'm very sorry Rob that you feel this way.
I should walked and delivered them by hand. I also should have sent them to a laboratory to have them analysed due to their high value.
The home page has postal details taking up a large amount of space for those that struggle with websites.
https://pesltd.uk/?canvas=home
To find in stock, do the required paperwork and walk to the post office costs £1.25 per minute in lost production.
I almost forgot, I will contact His Majesty's Customs and Excise to make sure you are no longer charged VAT as you are special. Expect a visit to check your financial affairs soon.
Thank you for you kind words.

Sarcasm noted.
There are chemical blacking gels and solutions available for stainless and for ferrous, but its difficult to see which one to try when you don't know what you have?
Rob
email (option): robmiller11(a)yahoo.co.uk
Hi Rob...Not all stainless is non magnetic...There are many grades with varying applications and characteristics..So, if the clips are marketed as stainless I'd go with the blacking compound produced for that material...
I tried blacking stainless with gun barrel black (blue) and it didn't 'take' at all...Ian
