M20 mud guard identification help

Once again, I need to call upon the motorcycle sages of this forum.

Take a look at these pics of my front and rear mud guards off of my '44 M20.

The rear has three sets of spotty weld jobs along the back of it. Are these original or for pillion seats? I'm wondering what I need to undo here.

Also, does this front mud guard look to be correct for a '44? I know that in those years, they did not have the front number plate, but this seems to have holes for it.

Re: M20 mud guard identification help

Hi Brian, they do look like M20 mudguards but I would need better pictures to be sure. The rear one doesn't have the centre rib so yes late war and correct for 1944. The holes in the front one for the number plate will have been added after the war so yes and no for 1944. Rob
