I have a couple questions for the experts please....

Ref, a Lucas Mo1 as fitted to my 16H

Q.No1 The advance retard cable spring is missing but what purpose does the cable spring have ??

Q.No2 With the cable on the right hand side is that "slack wire advance" ????

I do have spare springs but not sure how tension there should be. I would think quite light probably, just enough to return the cam plate ????

Hi Martin...In the Norton application the adv/rtd cable entry to the right of the contact breakers is a 'slack cable' fully advanced...As you say the spring should have enough pressure to 'return' the camplate and plunger....Ian
